GEA FlatPlate Receives Certification of its Ammonia Refrigeration Line

(York, PA) -- 9/14/02 -- GEA FlatPlate, Inc., recently obtained ASME certification for its ammonia refrigeration heat exchangers and by November will receive CE European Pressure Vessel Code Approval on the same products up to 140-ton capacity. These code approvals signify that GEA FlatPlate designs meet all technical criteria and quality standards to manufacture those heat exchangers in the US and abroad according to pressure vessel codes specified via both groups. GEA FlatPlate’s NH3 ammonia refrigeration line provides exceptional performance at a compact size and lower cost than conventional shell/tube units. All other GEA FlatPlate products are built to UL standards, European TUV specifications and Canadian CRN registration.
