GEA FlatPlate Named Finalist for Technology Company of the Year

York, PA (5/15/03) – GEA FlatPlate, Inc. was recently named a “Technology Company of the Year” finalist by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania. A capacity crowd of 600 attendees gathered at Harriburg’s Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts for the 11th annual event last month.

Award recipients were recognized as exemplary models in several categories, with nominees for Technology Company of the Year demonstrating “…strategic use of technology for the betterment of company and industry…” per the council’s requirements.

“We are very excited about this accomplishment,” said President Steve Wand. He added that the distinction came about due to experiencing an average growth rate of 26% with more than 500 active customers worldwide.
