Announcing the Shipment of First Gasketed Heat Exchanger
GEA PHE Systems NA announced the shipment of its first gasketed plate heat exchanger, marking a major milestone in its expansion of its North American operations in York, PA.
“This order is shipping a day ahead of the promised delivery date, and is a month ahead of the scheduled ‘go-live’ date for our plant,” said Jon Paulos, Business Development Manager. “It’s a great way to kick off our new plant, and is a tribute to the work ethic of our people”.
GEA PHE Systems NA incorporates the former FlatPlate Inc. of York, as well as WTT America from Long Island and GEA EcoFlex of Louisville, KY, GEA PHE Systems.
The company is consolidating all its North American operations into York, and is in the process of installing a 25,000 ton hydraulic press to press the heat transfer plates that are the core of the gasketed plate heat exchangers.
Employment is expected to be around 230 people (currently about 140), increasing the number of manufacturing jobs here in York County.
The press is invited to attend the company celebration, to be held at 12:30 on Tuesday, November 20, at the company headquarters (100 GEA Drive, York, PA 17406).
